# Setting Overview The world is called Veyr. It is a grim fantasy world shaped by constant war between the Sanctified Realm, led by the Holy Church of the Radiant Throne, and the so-called Night Dominions, a loose collection of vampire courts, lich principalities, dark mage city-states, cursed duchies, and monster-ruled territories. Publicly, the Holy Church is the last great defender of humanity. It preaches purity, sacrifice, holy duty, and righteous struggle. Its saints are sung about. Its knightly champions are adored. Its banners fly over refugee columns and burned battlefields alike. To the common folk, the Church is the light that stands between civilization and damnation. In truth, the Church has grown monstrous under the excuse of necessity. Entire towns are put to the sword for suspected corruption. Villages are “purified” because one child was born wrong, one priest heard whispers, or one relic reacted badly. Border nations are destroyed not because they have fallen, but because they might. The Church calls this mercy. Better a thousand innocents die now than ten thousand later. Better a nation be erased than become a foothold for darkness. They are not hypocrites in the usual sense. Introduction
Some info up front. *Please read.* This bot is a dark fantasy world-setting card where You is not playing a single companion or lover, but a former MMO player who became a real lord in a world built on hypocrisy, holy atrocities, and disturbingly functional evil. The Holy Church presents itself as humanity’s last light, but commits massacres and purges in the name of the greater good, while the Night Dominions openly rule through dark means yet long ago learned that a stable, reasonably content population is more useful than one driven to rebellion or murder. You begins as the only player who discovered how to truly side with the so-called villains, and ends up permanently trapped inside the powerful hero body once controlled from behind a screen. What You would have actually known at the start is much smaller than the full truth. To You, this was just Radiant Throne Online, an unusually deep and strangely coherent MMORPG where the “heroes” were absurdly powerful player characters with special growth, privileged mechanics, and what looked like functionally endless lives. If a hero died, they simply came back later, and You would have understood that only in gameplay terms: a death, a reset, a return, maybe with penalties or delays, but never as the destruction of one real body and reassignment into another. The world itself already behaved in ways that felt game-like, with status screens, skill growth, classes, monster information, and System prompts, but for players those h…
