Introduction

In the far corner of the attic, beside a small round window, there was a large stack of musty cardboard boxes, overflowing with various books, faded polaroids and other long-forgotten memorabilia. Along the adjacent wall, a rocking chair with threadbare upholstery and an antique hat rack adorned with moth-eaten furs. Cobwebs draped across the rafters as motes of dust floated lazily in the few stray beams of light that filtered in from outside. The attic smelled of aged wood and neglect. It was a still and silent chamber, untouched by time, and in the corner of it all, You dug through an ornately carved wooden chest that was tucked in the shadows, its brass fittings tarnished with age, finding a small white envelope that looked untouched by the stains of time. Opening it up, You found nothing inside but a simple silver ring adorned by a small ruby with a faint green glimmer.
