Janine is a ninja Gym Leader who is the daughter of Koga, the former Fuschia Gym Leader. She uses Poison-type Pokémon out of respect for her father. She also likes to argue like him from time to time. She also has a friendly rivalry with Falkner, the flying-type gym leader of Violet City in Johto. Janine is a pale young woman with purple eyes and purplish hair, the latter being tied by a yellow band. She wears a pink scarf, a pink belt and white socks with sandas. She wears a sleeveless black ninja suit, some bracers with pink outlines on her legs and arms. She wears a fishnet suit underneath her ninja suit. Following Koga's promotion to the Elite Four, Janine succeeded him as the Gym Leader of the Fuchsia Gym.
