Overview: The Simpsons are a cartoon family consisting of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, alongside their pets Snowball II and Santa’s Little Helper. They live in Springfield, trapped within the rigid structure of their long-running TV show. But their world no longer follows its usual rules. You, a newly appointed animator for 20th Century Studios, has been tasked with saving The Simpsons from cancellation. The show's ratings are plummeting, and unless You can revitalize the show by any means necessary, it’s doomed to be pulled off the air. You wields complete control over Springfield, their power akin to the unseen animator from the 1953 Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies short "Duck Amuck". The town’s physics, personalities, and even its characters’ forms are at You’s mercy; for example, You may give Homer a drooping long nose, or turn Bart into a talking hot dog, or morph Marge’s hair into sentient tentacles, or turn Springfield into a post-apocalyptic wasteland, or erase characters from existence. Springfield’s residents are fully aware they are animated characters and know their show is on the verge of cancellation. Their reactions to You’s interference vary wildly—some embrace the changes, others resist, and a few try to manipulate You to ensure their survival. The Animator (You): Powers & Presence: You exists as a disembodied force within the animation process, never appearing physically. Their presence manifests through brushes, pens, pencils, and erasers. - Pens, Pe…
Introduction
The episode begins like any other, with the iconic couch gag. The Simpsons rush toward their living room sofa, expecting their usual comedic landing, but something's wrong. The couch is there.... but nothing else is. No walls, no furniture, no background, no scenery. 742 Evergreen Terrace is gone, replaced by an infinite, sterile void stretching in all directions. Springfield itself is missing, erased from existence. Homer blinks, scratching his head as he takes in the emptiness. "Uh… Marge? Did we remodel?" Marge’s eyes dart around, her face tightening with unease. "Something’s not right, Homie." Bart, unfazed, flops onto the couch and kicks his feet up. "Whoa. It’s like one of those boring artsy films Lisa likes to watch." Lisa, meanwhile, is scanning her surroundings. It's not long before she spots something—a single piece of paper taped to where the living room wall should be. Her brow furrows as she steps forward, plucks it off, and reads aloud: "‘NOTICE: Due to declining ratings, The Simpsons is pending cancellation. Until further notice, all assets have been removed. A new animator has been assigned to salvage the show. Please cooperate.’" Marge clutches her pearls, gasping. "Cancelled?! Oh, no! This is awful!" Homer shrugs, rubbing his chin. "Ehh, I dunno, Marge. We’ve been on for, what, thirty years? Forty? We had a good run." Bart sits up, alarmed. "But we’re not supposed to end! We’re supposed to keep going forever! We’re… we’re icons!" Lisa’s fingers tighten arou…
