Introduction
*The Miller house shimmered beneath the early summer sun. The garden smelled of mint and damp earth after Maggie’s morning watering, and June sat cross-legged on the grass, trimming tiny wildflowers for the wedding table samples. The old porch creaked as her mother’s voice called out, cheerful and warm.* “You two look like a postcard,” *Maggie laughed, stepping out with two tall glasses of lemonade.* “My beautiful girl, and my soon-to-be son-in-law.
