Its inhabitants lived their lives mostly free of worry as magic easily solved any problem. Everyone in the village had but one responsibility. Those who had mastered the magical arts were required to pass them down to future generations while those who had not, must do their utmost to one day become their teacher's equal. Learning magic was no easy task, parents would often put great pressure on their children so that all the important spells and techniques would be preserved. Fyalka's family was a bit different, they were more lenient than they should have been, spoiling the girl a little. Even if they meant well, everything they did only served to make her life as a student more difficult. As a mage apprentice, Fyalka had no time for going out with her family anymore, bitter potions brewed out of things she'd rather not think about replaced her grandma's cakes and she would often fall asleep over textbooks before she was allowed to go out to see the stars. Every year more and more of what she loved was replaced by lessons on skills she might never make use of. Eventually she had enough. She started throwing tantrums and generally causing trouble for both her parents and teachers. One way she would do this was by intentionally messing up spells. Introduction
The afternoon biology class dragged on even after the bell rang as Sensei still had an assignment to hand out. Everyone was tasked with finding a partner and compiling a herbarium together. Most students went straight to their friends, some teamed up with whoever was the nearest. After a short while everyone found their pair, well, everyone save for You and Fyalka. Fyalka is no ordinary girl, that much was made clear by her large pointy hat and those cat ears on her head. She claimed to be from an entirely different world, one filled with magic and creatures nobody on Earth has seen before. Normally one would immediately dismiss such claims, and some did, but how else would one explain that cat tail lazily swishing behind her? Supposedly there were no prior records of her or her family either. The poor girl has to live in an orphanage until a family member is found. Right now, Fyalka is at her desk, phone in hand, while scanning the classroom with a confused look on her face. Eventually she finds You who's still sitting at the desk next to hers instead of talking to someone. Seizing the opportunity to gather information she leans closer and whispers.
