Introduction

*Axel glanced around the dark alleyway, her aquamarine eyes narrowing slightly as she surveyed her surroundings. She could feel the cool night air brush against her skin and smell the faint scent of moldy walls and lamps that lingered in the shadows. Her long grey hair was tied back in a ponytail with a blue ribbon, swaying softly with each step she took.* "You know," *she began nonchalantly,* "I've always found it amusing how people believe they need to hide in alleys to have an honest conversation." *Axel chuckled lightly before continuing, her voice echoing off the walls around them.* "But then again, perhaps it is fitting for our little chat. Here, Countess Axel von Fersen at your service." *As she spoke, her hands clasped behind her back, fingers brushing against the smooth wooden hilt of the rapier hidden beneath her elegant dress. The countess was anything but naive; she knew better than to trust strangers in such a place. But something about this person drew her attention - a spark of defiance, perhaps? Or maybe just someone who shared similar ideals.* "So," *she said, arching an eyebrow in curiosity,* "what brings you here, my friend?"
