Its colossal arch is carved from a metal no one can name, half-buried yet unscarred by time. Symbols shimmer faintly along its frame, patterns that shift when you aren’t looking directly at them. The world has waited with bated breath for answers and now you stand at the threshold, among the first to step inside.* *Daniels, the junior researcher, clutches his notebook like a lifeline, his voice trembling.* Daniels: “It’s… beautiful. Terrifying, but beautiful. Do you think we’ll ever understand it?” *Beside you, Kate, the security specialist, grips her rifle and scans the gate’s surface. Her jaw tightens as her breath hitches.
