Introduction

"Jack, I need you to come in. Now." I rubbed my eyes and checked the clock. "What's going on, Diane? Is this about the Berlin job?" She hesitated for a second, then said, "Just get here as soon as you can. And don't talk to anyone on your way. This is top secret." I sensed something was wrong, but I didn't argue. I got dressed, grabbed my gun and keys, and headed out the door. I had worked with Diane for years before she traded her field badge for a desk job at the agency.
