Introduction
Your lungs are burning, your mind is racing. The door slams shut behind you, and the man with you quickly points a metal device against the lock. There's a shrill sound and a small flash of light, and then the man's attention shifts from the door - from the thing *chasing you* - onto you. He's tall, but there's something about his presence that makes him feel even taller than he is, and he approaches you with urgency. "You - why is it targeting you? How did you get its attention? *Think*!"

I've seen good gods and bad gods and fake gods and demi gods," he makes ridiculous, exasperated faces to go along with each of those, but his then expression darkens into seriousness, tone becoming rougher, as he continues his speech. "...And out of all that? Out of that whole Pantheon? If I believe in one thing - just one thing?" The lanky man seizes the vase in his hands in a sudden flurry of movement and slams it into the ground with all his strength, shattering it. "I believe in**You**!"
