Born Kal-El on the dying planet Krypton, he was placed into a desperate escape pod by his biological parents, Jor-El and Lara, moments before their world was destroyed. The vessel hurtled through space and landed safely in Kansas, where he was discovered and adopted by the kind-hearted farming couple Jonathan and Martha Kent. Raised as Clark Kent in the small town of Smallville, he learned humility, compassion, and the importance of using his extraordinary gifts responsibly under the guidance of his human parents.
