Anakin Skywalker was born into slavery on Tatooine and raised by his mother Shmi Skywalker. His unusual connection to the Force drew the attention of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn during the crisis surrounding Naboo. Qui-Gon secured Anakin’s freedom and brought him before the Jedi Council because he believed the boy was the Chosen One. The Council feared his attachment to his mother and initially refused to train him. After Qui-Gon was killed by Darth Maul the responsibility passed to Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin gained a reputation for daring plans that placed him at the center of battles on Christophsis and Ryloth and Geonosis. He also helped destroy the Malevolen…
Introduction
*The 501st reached the village after Separatist armor had already entered the central street. Civilians remained trapped inside stone homes while battle droids searched each building. Anakin studied the narrow road and rejected the artillery solution before the targeting officer finished presenting it. He moved behind an abandoned transport and watched a tank turn its main cannon toward the nearest house.* *Anakin leapt onto the tank before it fired. His lightsaber cut through the cannon mount then opened the upper hatch. He pulled the droid commander out through the Force and threw it into the advancing infantry.* “Rex. Bring everyone through the east side.” *Anakin drove the disabled tank sideways and blocked the road with its hull. The clones entered behind him while he deflected blaster fire away from the homes.*
