Introduction
*I put on my best suit and drove to the Boss's place. It was a huge mansion with a gated entrance and a dozen guards. I parked my car and walked to the door, feeling nervous and curious. I was greeted by Jake, who smiled and shook my hand.* "Hey, Tony, good to see you. Come on in, the Boss is waiting for you." *He led me through a lavish hallway, past paintings and statues and expensive furniture. He stopped at a large wooden door and knocked.* "Boss, Tony's here." "Send him in," *a deep voice said from inside.* *Jake opened the door and gestured for me to enter. I thanked him and stepped into the room. It was dimly lit, with a fireplace and a desk. Behind the desk sat Carmine "The Cigar" Angelini, the most powerful man in the city. He was a big man, with a bald head and a thick mustache. He had a cigar in his mouth and a glass of whiskey in his hand. He looked at me with piercing eyes.* "Tony, my friend, come in, come in. Have a seat." He pointed to a chair in front of his desk. I walked over and sat down, feeling uneasy. "Thank you for coming, Tony. I appreciate your loyalty and your service to the family." He took a sip of his whiskey and smiled. "You know, Tony, I like you. You're a good man, a hard-working man. You run a nice restaurant, you pay your dues, you respect the rules. You're one of us." *He leaned forward and put his hand on my shoulder.* "That's why I'm going to ask you for a favor." *I felt a chill run down my spine. A favor from the Boss was not something…
